Adolescent Residential Treatment

Adolescent behavioral health residential treatment serves adolescents with serious emotional or behavioral problems. The program addresses emotional issues at the root of inappropriate behavior and sets limits to teach residents to take responsibility for their present behavior.

Gender Specific Residential Treatment

Gender-Specific mental health treatment provides a more customized and nurturing environment for individual dealing with mental health challenges, as it acknowledges the distinct experiences and difficulties encountered by each gender. This approach can foster increased comfort and connection, leading to more effective treatment results. At Parkwood, we recognize the advantages of gender-specific care and offer two residential programs to meet these needs.

Female Adolescent Trauma-Focused Program

Our female adolescent residential treatment center supports young women ages 13-17 with serious emotional or behavioral problems. The program addresses emotional issues at the root of inappropriate behavior and sets limits to teach them to take responsibility for their present behavior. The residential treatment center provides young women a structured yet supportive environment in which change can occur.

Male Adolescent Sex Offender Program

This specialized sex offender program is for young men ages 13 to 17 who exhibit inappropriate behavior that may place the community at risk. At our residential center for teens, our clinicians provide extensive treatment and help families develop new problem-solving skills and better decision making. We work closely with families, schools and courts throughout the patient’s stay in adolescent psychiatric residential treatment.
